My dad passed away at the start of the year in January 9 days after my birthday I'm 21 I never imagined losing my dad this young always love and be there for your parents Love ya dad rip❤

Like many others in the comments I have no idea why the algorithm brought this video to me but I’m glad it did. My birthday is also 9/16 and it’s so cool to know that such an amazing thing happened on that day. A lot of time was lost but cherish the rest of the time that you guys do have together

I am sorry that you went through this loss, especially so young. But I am so happy that you and your son were able to reconnect and start your lives together with open hearts and pick up the relationship when it came back to you, it takes a lot of courage for a young man to do this, and it speaks so much to his character and to yours.

A few years ago I travelled across the world to meet my dad and his family for the first time and the thing I kept worrying about was that I wouldn't be accepted, but I was received with the same love and care as Blaze and on my life it meant the world to me and I just know Blaze felt the same. Watching this video gets me almost a bit of jealousy because I never got this kind of chance with my own dad. My dad used to be abusive when I was a kid and my sister, mom, and I got a way when I was around 7-8. He got killed on Thanksgiving of 2019, and at this point in my life I’ve forgiven him and god have I realized how important a dad is and how much I wish I could’ve met my dad again. My aunt and grandma from my dad’s side all day before he died he went to church and found god and became a good man finally and to his other kids he was good too. It makes me wish I could’ve met him again and see for myself if he really did become a good person and maybe be a dad again to me in some ways. I’m glad you two were able to reconnect and you’ll be able to give Blaze a dad again:)

I met my biological dad for the first time when I was already 18. Our meeting didn't go this way. I'm now 33 with a family of my own, and I rarely talk to that dude. But I'm glad you got to meet your son and you had an instant connection with him. Healing isn't for everyone, I guess, but I'm glad to see one of the instances where it worked.

I'm glad they found each other - even if it was so late in life. Now his dad can impart his wisdom and knowledge to his son and his son can be there to take care of his father. I hope they'll be able to have many activities while the father is still spry enough to get around without much difficulty.
